We are currently in the process of Recharter (i.e., renewing scout and adult membership to the BSA and Troop 903 for the 2023 calendar year). If you have not paid for recharting yet, please contact Mr. Ibarra to make arrangements. Please look at the following components of the Recharter process and bring the necessary funds. If you have not submitted by our November 16th meeting, you are at risk to be dropped from the Troop for 2023.

BSA has increased youth fees for their 2023 registration from $66 to $75. This is an increase of $9 and has been stated to be due to the rising insurance costs. Additionally, adult registrations were increased from $42 to $45 for 2023.

1) PAYMENT – All adults and scouts must submit fees for Recharter. Fees can be submitted by cash, check made payable to “Troop 903”, Zelle or Venmo @ rigoibarrajr (Not for business)

The 2023 fees are as follows:

a. Returning Scouts - $235 (increase of $35. Still low compared to neighboring LVAC Troops). The fees are broken down to $75 for the BSA dues and $160 for the troop fees to provide for Merit Badges, Advancement Rank Badges, and ceremonies ($13.33 per month).

b. Returning Scouts plus Boy’s Life Magazine - $250 (This is you would like the Boys Life Subscription $15)

c. New Scouts - $260 (New Scout)/$235 (Existing Scout advancing from Cub Scouts) this will be prorated monthly by $19 for the remaining months left in the year.

d. Eagle Youth Scouts under 18 yrs. old - $45. ($30 Troop 903 Discount for annual fee of $75)

e. Adults - $45

2) APPLICATIONS FOR ALL UNREGISTERED YOUTH AND ADULTS – All adult leaders and scouts must have a BSA application on file. We will have these forms at the next two Troop meetings. If you have not previously completed a BSA application, please do so. Returning adult leaders and scouts do NOT need to worry about this step.
